Invoice Date - what date does JobFlow use as the invoice date?

Rusty K 8 years ago updated by anonymous 8 years ago 4

What date does JobFlow use as an invoice date (which passes through to Xero or is printed on invoice? I think this should be job completed date (not job logged date or job started date).

Answer

Answer

The invoice is the date it a job status is set to "invoice".

We may need to pass a job "completed" date through to the invoice comments field(a new proposed field) as reference, as well as provide this on the billing summary for non-xero users. This way in Xero or your invoicing system you can change the invoice date if need be.

What are your thoughts?

Refered to Tech support team to answer this (my demo version not connected to Xero at present) any existing users out there that can answer this one?

We change all of the job dates in Xero to the completed job date prior to sending out the invoices - it would be great if the job completed date was sent through rather than the pushed from JobFlow date

Thanks Roz, I agree with this too and it seems to be the way most people want it to work so far... will get a bit more feedback around this...complexity is the "complete" date when the last task was completed on the job or when the job status was changed to "complete" (which is not visible anywhere but will be stored somewhere I am sure!)? I have the team giving me a list of all dates in JobFlow and explanations of each too so we know whats there.
